Journalists in Tunisia interested in data journalism will have the opportunity to further develop their skills and receive funding to pursue reporting through this program from ICFJ, in partnership with the Media Development Centre and supported by the U.S. Embassy in Tunisia.
Participants in the program will learn and sharpen their skills in data journalism, including fact-checking, data analysis and investigative reporting.
Data Journalism in Tunisia offers participating journalists working in both traditional and digital media:
- An online training series on data journalism
- In-person training on data journalism and investigative reporting
- A “training of trainers” workshop for the local cohort of specialized data journalism trainers
- Small grants for participants to pursue reporting on investigative journalism projects
Apply for our online training HERE in Arabic. The candidate must be a working journalist or media professional in Tunisia with at least two years of experience. Those who participate in the virtual training will be eligible to participate in an in-person data journalism training in Tunis from December 5 to 7.
