Time and Date: Tuesday, August 4, at 10:00 a.m. EDT ( 14:00 GMT)
Science Pulse is a project by the Brazilian data-driven agency Volt Data Lab, in collaboration with the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) and the Brazilian science journalism agency Bori.
Science Pulse is a platform born out of the need to facilitate the search for science on social networks and help better inform reporters of scientific developments. Members of the Global Health Crisis Reporting Forum will have early access to this free tool developed by ICFJ Knight Fellow Sérgio Spagnuolo, founder of Volt Data Lab in Brazil. Science Pulse streams hundreds of social media profiles of scientists, specialists, doctors and organizations in the field. The goal is to help journalists discover scientific content amid so much misinformation and excess content. Spagnuolo will introduce the project to journalists and show them how to use it!
