The Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) has won the 2020 Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship, given to a select group of entrepreneurs whose innovations have had a significant, proven impact on some of the world’s most pressing problems. OCCRP is a long-time partner of ICFJ.

An investigation by the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) that exposed a complex financial system that enabled corruption by Russian oligarchs and politicians won the 2020 Sigma Award for best data-driven reporting. OCCRP is a long-time partner of ICFJ.

Killing Pavel: Journalists showed "incredible tenacity and courage" in a film on the murder of a journalist in Ukraine.

The Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) and its Ukrainian partner, Slidstvo.Info, have won this year’s Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE) Medal for their work on the investigative documentary “Killing Pavel” on the unsolved murder of a Belarussian reporter.

The success of Panama Papers has demonstrated the changing nature of investigative journalism. In the past, a single media organization with vast resources could manage a comprehensive global investigation on its own.

A massive leak of millions of financial records has exposed an array of crime and corruption spreading across the globe, according to a groundbreaking investigative report called The Panama Papers. The documents expose the hidden financial dealings of more than 128 politicians and public officials around the world, and the offshore holdings of 12 current and former heads of state. These are among the reported findings of a yearlong investigation by more than 100 media organizations.

The European Press Prize named the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) winner of its Special Award for 2015, calling ICFJ’s partner organization “a determined force for good everywhere it operates.”
