Four Teams from ICFJ Network in Latin America Named Finalists for IAPA Awards

Journalists associated with the CONNECTAS network, a platform supported by the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ), produced four of the 13 finalist projects in the Inter American Press Association’s Excellence in Journalism Award of 2015.

Twenty-two outstanding reporters selected for 2015 Arthur F. Burns Fellowship

Washington, DC – Twelve German journalists, eight reporters from the U.S. and two media professionals from Canada have been selected for the Arthur F. Burns Fellowship.

The prestigious program, now in its 28th year, offers highly skilled journalists from both sides of the Atlantic the opportunity to travel and report from each other’s countries. Through this exchange, participants learn and share professional skills with one another, and gain experience working abroad as “foreign correspondents” for their home news organizations.

Using Robots to Conduct Cross-Database Investigations

Working with the African Network of Centers for Investigative Reporting (ANCIR), I got a chance to observe that process when two reporters from Italy’s investigative reporting project (IRPI) came to visit South Africa to trace the business interests of the Italian Mafia in the country.
