The program will allow five U.S. journalists and four global journalists (from Africa, Asia and Europe) to travel to Thailand for a five-day study tour focusing on the causes, treatments, prevention and impact of malaria in Asia and around the globe. The dates of this trip will be Nov. 1-7, 2015.

Though the results of the 2012 U.S. Presidential elections were announced to the world on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 49 foreign journalists were able to provide first-hand reports on the outcome to their readers, listeners and viewers in their home countries. This opportunity came from their participation in The Elections 2012 Visiting Journalists Program.

Readers and listeners all over the world enjoyed special insight into the U.S. presidential election as a result of the Elections 2008 Visiting Journalists Program, which brought 48 journalists from 46 countries to cover the historic campaign and vote.

The results will update and expand ICFJ's 2017 State of Technology in Global Newsrooms report, and reveal how the industry has changed in the last two years.

With the support of UNESCO, the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) has published a groundbreaking, book-length global study on online violence against women journalists, documenting alarming trends and offering solutions to this pernicious problem.

The Chilling: A global study of online violence against women journalists is the most geographically, linguistically and ethnically diverse research ever published on the theme. Publication of the 300-page book, concludes a three-year research project originally commissioned by UNESCO in 2019.
