Early Childhood Development Reporting Trip 2: South Africa

Early Childhood Development (ECD) Reporting Fellows met in Johannesburg, South Africa, for a week-long reporting trip in January 2018. The first and second group of fellows participated in meetings with government ministries, grassroots NGOs, community leaders, and members of the business community who are working to implement ECD policies. The fellows and their four mentors visited ECD centers, schools, and toy libraries to see the work being done firsthand. They also spent time exploring independent stories.
